Self Reflection - Portrait Drawing

Fun fact, this model (not this image) is the first model I had ever drawn in a 'life drawing' setting. I spent some time during this period attempting to understand how a thumbnail can impact the final portrait, what details need to be included, and where the shadows would go. 

Sessions like this definitely contributed to my development!

Medium: Brown pencil on newsprint. 

Dimensions: A3 (approx. 300mm x 420mm)

This piece is supported with a thick cardboard backing and packed within a cellophane bag. I have signed the back of the piece.

*Please note: Newsprint is not an archival paper, and will degrade over time, especially if stored in direct sunlight. There are also some printing oddities on the back of the paper as I had used leftover newsprint from my printer. This is reflected in the price.
